Short version: AlienTalk doesn't require an account, doesn't collect personal information, and your conversations with Xelin never leave your device. The AI runs entirely on-device.
AlienTalk does not require you to create an account, sign in, or provide an email address to use the app. You can use AlienTalk fully anonymously.
AlienTalk's AI character, Xelin, runs entirely on your device using on-device language model inference. This means:
On first launch, AlienTalk downloads an AI model file (approximately 1GB) from Hugging Face, a third-party model hosting provider, in order to enable on-device AI features. This is a standard file download — like downloading any file from the internet — and is subject to Hugging Face's own privacy practices for their hosting infrastructure (e.g. standard server logs such as IP address, common to any web request). We do not receive any data from this download process beyond confirming the file was downloaded successfully on your device.
Your chat history and app preferences are stored locally on your device. We do not have access to this data, and it is not transmitted to us or any third party.
AlienTalk offers optional in-app purchases processed through Apple's App Store In-App Purchase system. Payment information is handled entirely by Apple in accordance with Apple's own privacy policy — we do not collect or store your payment details.
AlienTalk does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children. Since the app requires no account and no personal information to function, there is no personal data collection regardless of the user's age.
